What personal data we collect and why we collect it

When you buy tickets using www.wapecc.com or send us an email with the contact form some of your personal data will be collected and stored. This policy explains what data is collected, why it’s collected, how it is used and who has access to it.

When you buy a ticket

The following items of personal data will be collected and stored when you buy ticket(s) for an event:

– Your name
– Your email address
– Your address

You will also be asked for your payment card details but that data is not processed or stored by WAPECC or Konect Group Ltd.

Virtual event platform

When you register, an account will be created with all the information that you entered. This account will allow you to access to the platform and the attendees’ list to network before, during and after the event.

Your data will be given to Swapcard, our partner and editor of our digital platform.

Your data will be protected and not commercialised.

You have the right to access your data, as well as editing or deleting it.

Why is this data collected?

This is why we need each of these items of personal data:

– Your name – this will appear on your ticket so that your identity can be checked at the event.

– Your email address – we will email your order confirmation (receipt) to this address. Your tickets are electronic tickets and they will also be emailed to this address.

– Your address – This is used to process your payment.

Contact forms

You can send us an email from our contact page. You’ll have to give your consent for us to use your data every time you do this (by checking the tick box).

Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies (small pieces of data sent from our website to you) to work out (with analytics) who has been browsing our website and how they have been browsing it, so we can make it better for you.

Stripe may from time to time provide us with information regarding the credits and debits made to your card in order to enable us to reconcile our accounts.

How we protect your data

Your data is stored in our database which is located in the US. All data is encrypted during transmission to and from your browser.

What data breach procedures we have in place

We will report any personal data breaches which would significantly harm individuals to the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK. If the breach is serious enough, we’ll also tell the individuals affected.

Transfer of personal information in the event of the sale of the company

If the company is sold, customer information may be included as part of that sale but use of this information will still be governed by the terms set out in this policy.
