Mr. Dahouenon is an Electrical Engineer and holds a Masters in Energy Planning from the Technical University of Berlin. After a stint in the electrical industry in Germany from 1988 to 1989, Mansour Assani Dahouenon joined GIZ in 1990. In 1999, he moved into the consultancy sector, working in several countries, notably on behalf of the World Bank, the European Union and the African Development Bank. He returned in 2017 to GIZ to lead a major project for the German Cooperation in Senegal. Since 2014, he has been coordinating the German Government’s support of ECOWAS with a view to promoting a regional electricity market that respects the environment, in partnership with the West African Power Pool (WAPP), the ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) and the ECOWAS Regional Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERERA).
