Prof Honoré Bogler, Chairman of the Regulatory Council of the ECOWAS Regional Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERERA) will be among of our guests of honour at WAPECC as the region gathers to unlock investment and to transform the West African energy landscape.
Regional stakeholders have decided to gather around a subject that matters to them and the industry. We had an introductory meeting on the 23rd October as a first face to face contact, to present the WAPECC team, to introduce the steering committee members and to go through the working guidelines of the committee.
The team on experts dedicated to WAPECC for technical work on the program is now known. Steering committee sessions are starting soon. The call for papers is also open to collect abstracts from potential speakers.
We are honoured to announce that Dr Cheikh Taliby Sylla, Minister of Energy and Hydraulics for the Republic of Guinea will be one of our keynote speakers at WAPECC, enlightening the market on the government strategic plans with regards to the huge energy potential in Guinea.
We are delighted to announce and open the call for papers for the West Africa Power and Energy Cooperation Conference 2019, WAPECC19, taking place at the Radisson Blu Abidjan Airport Hotel, under the patronage of the Ministry of Petroleum, Energy and Renewable Energy of the Côte d’Ivoire and with the Support of the West Africa Power Pool and the ECOWAS centre for renewable energy.

This is going to be the first regional energy meeting supported by all the ECOWAS energy ministries!
We are pleased and honoured to announce that the Ministry of Petroleum, Energy and Renewable Energies of Cote d’Ivoire has sent his support to host the inaugural West Africa Power and Energy Cooperation Conference in Abidjan.
